Boldklubben Skjold
Based in Copenhagen’s Østerbro district, BK Skjold has grown into one of Denmark’s largest football clubs (amateur), offering an inclusive and modern envi-ronment for young players. The club welcomes boys and girls of all ages, focusing on development, enjoyment, and long-term participation rat-her than early selection.
Training sessions are mainly held in Fælledparken and Ryparken, two well-known sporting areas in the Danish capital.
What makes BK Skjold especially strong in youth football is its commitment to community values such as courage, independence, and enthusiasm. The club works to help children improve both on and off the pitch, building confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits through sport. Its ByGirls initiative also pro-motes equality and greater opportunities for girls and women in football.
As a valued Content Partner of Amateur-Athlete, BK Skjold stands as a great example of how grassroots football can combine ambition with inclusion, creating oppor-tunities for the next gene-ration of players.
